Learn to Learn

One of these evening nights, I was listen the Alanis Morissette theme "You Learn" (the acoustic version on MTV is very intense) and some thoughts came to my mind.
The first idea that I could pick up from the song letter is obvious... everything that we do it is an opportunity to learn, to feed our durst of knowledge. The good or the bad, the active, the daily or the singular, the romantic, the physical or psychological… experiences... laughing or crying, loving or hating, screaming, bleeding, choosing or asking, walking, falling, looking, kissing, dreaming, rising up,... with all that we do and even, with all that we haven't done we can learn. After all, living it's a continuous learning process, and it is an evidence that, when "You live you learn".
But what kept my attention this time was that we have to learn to learn. In the university, I had a teacher that was saying this all the time... "You just are here to learn how to learn"... Live isn't being quiet and waiting for something to happen... it is not being quiet and looking to the others around to see what happens to them.
To LIVE is to act, is to play a role in this life's theatre... as Shakespeare shown us in his plays.
To LIVE is to try, is taking a risk. Like a "three-year-old would do", we must be able to try... "feel free"... to try what are out of the sight, swimming against the flow, come to the surface, look to the sky, to the sun,... To try the fire like a "three-year-old would do"... and learn.
It is only possible to learn if we don't give up when we find a barrier in front of us. To learn it is transpose that barrier that blocks us the way and scream out loud the victory... the victory of learning... and learn... and LIVE!

I couldn't resist and picked up my guitar and sang for several minutes...

“I recommend getting your heart trampled on to anyone
I recommend walking around naked in your living room
Swallow it down (what a jagged little pill)
It feels so good (swimming in your stomach)
Wait until the dust settles

You live you learn
You love you learn
You cry you learn
You lose you learn
You bleed you learn
You scream you learn

I recommend biting off more then you can chew to anyone
I certainly do
I recommend sticking your foot in your mouth at any time
Feel free
Throw it down (the caution blocks you from the wind)
Hold it up (to the rays)
You wait and see when the smoke clears

You live you learn
You love you learn
You cry you learn
You lose you learn
You bleed you learn
You scream you learn

Wear it out (the way a three-year-old would do)
Melt it down (you're gonna have to eventually anyway)
The fire trucks are coming up around the bend You LIVE you learn

You love you learn
You cry you learn
You lose you learn
You bleed you learn
You scream you learn

You grieve you learn
You choke you learn
You laugh you learn
You choose you learn
You pray you learn
You ask you learn
You LIVE you learn”
