Learn to Learn

One of these evening nights, I was listen the Alanis Morissette theme "You Learn" (the acoustic version on MTV is very intense) and some thoughts came to my mind.
The first idea that I could pick up from the song letter is obvious... everything that we do it is an opportunity to learn, to feed our durst of knowledge. The good or the bad, the active, the daily or the singular, the romantic, the physical or psychological… experiences... laughing or crying, loving or hating, screaming, bleeding, choosing or asking, walking, falling, looking, kissing, dreaming, rising up,... with all that we do and even, with all that we haven't done we can learn. After all, living it's a continuous learning process, and it is an evidence that, when "You live you learn".
But what kept my attention this time was that we have to learn to learn. In the university, I had a teacher that was saying this all the time... "You just are here to learn how to learn"... Live isn't being quiet and waiting for something to happen... it is not being quiet and looking to the others around to see what happens to them.
To LIVE is to act, is to play a role in this life's theatre... as Shakespeare shown us in his plays.
To LIVE is to try, is taking a risk. Like a "three-year-old would do", we must be able to try... "feel free"... to try what are out of the sight, swimming against the flow, come to the surface, look to the sky, to the sun,... To try the fire like a "three-year-old would do"... and learn.
It is only possible to learn if we don't give up when we find a barrier in front of us. To learn it is transpose that barrier that blocks us the way and scream out loud the victory... the victory of learning... and learn... and LIVE!

I couldn't resist and picked up my guitar and sang for several minutes...

“I recommend getting your heart trampled on to anyone
I recommend walking around naked in your living room
Swallow it down (what a jagged little pill)
It feels so good (swimming in your stomach)
Wait until the dust settles

You live you learn
You love you learn
You cry you learn
You lose you learn
You bleed you learn
You scream you learn

I recommend biting off more then you can chew to anyone
I certainly do
I recommend sticking your foot in your mouth at any time
Feel free
Throw it down (the caution blocks you from the wind)
Hold it up (to the rays)
You wait and see when the smoke clears

You live you learn
You love you learn
You cry you learn
You lose you learn
You bleed you learn
You scream you learn

Wear it out (the way a three-year-old would do)
Melt it down (you're gonna have to eventually anyway)
The fire trucks are coming up around the bend You LIVE you learn

You love you learn
You cry you learn
You lose you learn
You bleed you learn
You scream you learn

You grieve you learn
You choke you learn
You laugh you learn
You choose you learn
You pray you learn
You ask you learn
You LIVE you learn”

Imagine [reviewed]

Today, in our world, this world that surrounds us, in every ways, we create an image of the things from the visible face that we know and we just can see upon all of its face if we were taught to. We just see the things as they used to be and as they used to mean... like a glass of water... it is just a glass cup... cylindrical... may be made from plastic or crystal glass... opened by on of the tops... and we fill it with water... pure water or treated water with that clored taste... But our parents and his parents and before them, were used to imagine boats, big ships, rainstorms... inside of that simple and common cup of water...

We lose this fantasy because we have, and want, and demand, that everything should be explained... we want an explanation to everything. I saw yesterday the "Big Fish" movie and this generation gap could be seen perfectly... is perfectly shown the contrast between a conventional life and other, coloured with fantasy, and how we can elevate ourselves to other frontiers by the dream... "It's by the dream that we go", someone wrote, and fantasising is one way of turning to a closer reality, the dreams that we have, and live them, as they were real. It's not living in an imaginated world... it is live this real world, with his own magic and his fantasy that the oldest people (the wisest ones as we say many times say) were taught to see.

On the last 20th of May, passed 500 years of the Cristovao Colombus death... the man that come true the dream, the fantasy, the imagination of a remote possibility, even a foolish idea of reach the India by the sea. He didn't arrive to India... but the fantasy took him to an inimaginated world... The New World...

Sometime we need to imagine another world... Right from the beggining until the end of our life time, there are moments when the unknown, the imagination can let us go throw the pain, through loniless, throw the physical boundaries that we have in front. We can see this in the "Finding Neverand" movie... The Neverland can be right in front of you... you just have to close your eyes, turn around, smile, let your spirit fly and imagine...

I think that our life could be much more attractive, stimulating if we try this... painting the unexpected, seeing throw the visible face of things. I am learning and studying how can this idea be developed in my professional life...

I often use imaginary themes with scouts to help them to reach some aims that we establish from the beginning of an activity. It's also useful to explore some thematics that have important messages that we didn’t saw or didn't pay much attention but have so many things to teach, from which we can learn so much and bring so much value to what, day by day, is given to us to LIVE.

TAG [24.may]

24.may [00:23']
This is the first time that I will do this... let's see...

1- Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as your dinner guest? As your close friend? As your lover?
For dinner: Phillipe Starck
For friend: Richard Bach
Lover: I'm fine thanks

2- Would you be willing to reduce your life expectancy by five years to become extremely attractive?
What a waste of time

3- Would you rather spend a month on vacation with your parents or put in overtime at your current job for four weeks without extra compensation?
The first for sure

4- When did you last cry by yourself? In front of another person?
I don't remember that kind of moments but not more than two weeks ago.

5- If 100 people your age were chosen at random, how many do you think you'd find leading a more satisfying life than yours?
If they were Portuguese may be no one... I don't have many claims to invoke...

6- If you had the choice of one intimate soul mate and no other close friends, or of no such soul mate and many friends and acquaintances, which would you choose?
I don't know... something pushes me to the friends...

7- Do you think your friends would agree with one another about the kind of person you are?
Definitely, I really don't think so.

8- Would you prefer to be blind or deaf?
I prefer not being blind... the world has much more beauty to see rather to ear. The thing that I would miss more was the music but I'm learning to feel it in my body as it happens with singing... feeling the vibrations of our vocal chords throw all of my body. Beethoven composed lots of music play after being deaf. For now, I see and ear very well :)

9- How many of your friendships have lasted more than ten years? Which of your current friends do you feel will still be important to you ten years from now?
Some part of them... I make friends for life... I don't talk with my best friend for more than a year but he is still my best friend and I pray for him every day.

10- If you could mould to your liking your memories of any past experience, would you do so?
No, I don’s see any reason or benefit in that.

11- Would you be content with a marriage of the highest quality in all respects but one's it completely lacked sex?
No

12- If you were happily married, and then met someone you felt was certain to always bring you deeply passionate, intoxicating love, would you leave your spouse? What if you had kids?
No. Intoxicating love only can murder a happy relationship

13- Relative of the population at large? How do you rate your physical attractiveness? Your intelligence? Your personality?
I don't rate... There are things that we must let the heart lead. As I said before there are matters that we should dispense the analyse process.

14- If you could script the basic plot for the dream you will have tonight, what would the story be?
Me, a Porshe 911 Turbo (serie 4) and a road plenty of curves... and may be some trucks...

15- While out one day, you are surprised to see your father holding hands with someone who is clearly his lover, he begs you not to say anything to your mother. How would you respond? What if your mother later told you that she was going crazy thinking that your father was having an affair yet knew it was just her imagination?
I can't imagine that.

16- If you had to spend the next 2 years inside a small but fully provisioned Antarctic shelter with one other person, whom would you like to have with you?
May be G. Bush... I think I can handle the sacrifice and the world will have two years of peace... may be more... I don't if he could handle... lol
In an alternative choice, may be a Tibetan monk.

17- You become involved romantically but after 6 months realize you need to end the relationship. If you were certain the person would commit suicide if you were to leave and were also certain you could not be happy with the person, what would you do?
I will pray for God to receive her and accept her choice of living her liberty way.

18- What was your most enjoyable dream? Your worst nightmare?
Dreaming with....
I don't remember anyone except an accident with my Citro 2CV.

19- If by sacrificing your life you could contribute so much to the world you would be honoured by all nations, would you be willing to do so? If so, would you make the sacrifice knowing that someone you thoroughly disliked would received that honour while you went unrecognized?
Yes. My fulfilment of such an act can pass through all the unlike thoughts and acts and person. We climb to a level were nothing of material and human level could interfere.

20- Would you like your spouse to be both smarter and more attractive than you are?
I don't if she would want that kind of state... having a husband more stupid and ugly then her... :)

21- You discover that your wonderful one-year-old child is, because of a mix-up at the hospital, not yours. Would you want to exchange the child to try and correct the mistake?
I'm sorry but it is completely impossible predict what I would do in such situation... I think that the exchange is logical but it couldn't be only that...

22- When did you last sing to yourself? To someone else?
One our ago,
"The fire fades away
Most of everyday
Is full of tired excuses
But it's to hard to say
I wish it were simple
But we give up easily
You're close enough to see that
You're the other side of the world to me"
part of KT Tunstall latest single.
Yes, two.

23- Which sex do you think has it easier in our culture? Have you ever wished you were of the opposite sex?
I think that men still have an higher status in the society and we can still see women being treated as princesses or slaves... But, fortunately, things are changing, especially in the business world.

24- What are your most compulsive habits? Do you regularly struggle to break these habits?
Don't saying "no" and passing cars with short time opportunities. No :) and No... I like it... it's pure fun... better than sss..soup... my mother's soup... :)

25- Would you enjoy spending a month of solitude in a beautiful natural setting? Food and shelter would be provided but you would not see another person.
Yes, sometimes I need it... Anyway, I would never be real alone....... with that entire beautiful natural scene….

26- If you knew you would die of an incurable disease within 3 months, would you allow yourself to be frozen within the week if you knew it would give you a modest chance of being revived in 1,000 years and living a greatly extended life?
I think that is a very fictionary scene, with lack of plus information for which I don't have any answer.

27- You are invited to a party that will be attended by many fascinating people you have never met. Would you want to go if you had to go by yourself?
Yes, why not... Adventure it's not my surname but I think that someone of my ancestral had it... :)

28- If you were at a friend's house for thanksgiving dinner and you found a dead cockroach in your salad, what would you do?
I will pay more attention with the desert.

29- If someone you love deeply is brutally murdered and you know the identity of the murderer, who unfortunately is acquitted of the crime. Would you seek revenge?
There are legal ways to lead with such individualities.... revenge doesn't bring back anyone... just despoils a cascade of madness.

Thanks :)

Runaway

Sometimes I have this will of runaway and riding my little jumpy car to nowhere, listening the tenor's bi-composed sound of the two opposite cylinders pushing us hill upon hill in this magic adventure of a loneliness song.

Sometimes I have this will... But why do I feel that it would make me feel more alive?...

Cypress jan/25 - feb/3; jul/26 - aug/4

"Cypress-people are different. And they want to be different. They loathe everything conventional, ordinary. They are looking for the spiritual light, love the art and the unusual. They are very awake, and see something special in everything, and can even open the eyes of others, to show them what they had considered something normal already. Young cypresses are enthusiastic about everything. So if their thirst for knowledge leads them to dark paths, they should be guided back to light. Other than that, these trees don't need any restrictions, but LIBERTY!"

Analyse [reviewed]

Many times, we ear a music and we don't pay many attention to the message that it wants to pass to the listener.
For some reason, in a moment, something in our head tunes to that words or even simply to the melody and we are transport to some message rail that shows so many things that were unrevealed to that moment.
Yesterday I was listen The Cranberrie's 'Analyse' theme and I realize how beautiful and, most of all, practical, this words can be to our life and the way as we LIVE day by day.
Firstly, I liked the introspection attitude to open my mind: "Close your eyes, breathe the air out there". Then the important assumption that we are free,... to think, to act, to turn my life around, to step my steps ahead...
But the important thing that came to my mind about this words is the worry that people express (i'm included) on analyse the attitudes, behaviours, emotions, thoughts or words spoken... in parallel with a mystified sort of ideas which characterizes people, situations, and other living circumstances not like as they really are but as a synonymous of a multifaceted preconceived points of view.
At a certain level, we can't keep this analyse attitude. We must see with a pure look, with an open mind to all the beauty that lives behind our eyes and from of we been distracted and blinded so many time. This sight of the things doesn't mean naiveness; it's other way to evolutes to something higher, something that we are usually afraid to rich because we don't know. If we don't do it "That will paralyse", I think, more than a evolution, but a truly revolution of our lifes - we won't be able to see throw the hill...

One thing that can help to change this rational attitude can be: "let your heart decide" (as Celine Dion sings)... at least in the common daily situations. (It's a little bit ironic that we tend to think with the heart when we have time to and we should think more with the head and, when we should act with the purity of the heart impulse, we rationalise the attitudes).
Letting the heart to decide can show more of what we are, what we think, what we feel... we act more side by side with the truth of what we are. The compromise is to feel in the heart full love so that, when we take any attitude, that, could spring from the centre of the heart plenty of the same love.

We will love more, ourselves and the others if we can lead our life to the other way of LIVE.
"Don't analyse"! Just LIVE.

Analyse

Close your eyes, Close your eyes
Breathe the air out there
We are free, we can be wide open
For you open my eyes
To the beauty I see
We will pray, we will stay
Wide open

Don't analyse, Don't analyse
Don't go that way
Don't lead that way
That would paralyse your evolution
Don't analyse, Don't analyse
Don't go that way
Don't lead that way
That would paralyse your evolution

La la la This greatest moment
La la la The strangest day
La la la The greatest love of them all

La la la This greatest moment
La la la The strangest day
La la la The greatest love of them all

Close your eyes, Close your eyes
Breathe the air out there
Fantasize, fantasize
We are open
For you open my eyes
To the beauty I see
We will pray, we will stay
Together

La la la This greatest moment
La la la The strangest day
La la la The greatest love of them all
La la la This greatest moment

Popcorns of Hope

We are tending, without any signs of other way choice to follow, to the point of no return in the love relationship of the mankind with itself like the love story of the phantom of the Opera. We see evil growing by all over the world, by every place and it seems that we can't do nothing and will be our destiny become phantoms to one and other.

I think that, no matter what we can do now, we could not avoid this happening thing... I guess that it is needed...

Somewhere, some when and somehow this will explode (whatever it means)... may be it is needed. May be this will have to really BANG to the Power Management people of this society realize that we are men and women, equals, flesh of the same flesh, living in the same material world and we should start to think as one... multicultural, multicoloured, multi language speaking,... as singular members of the mankind but as one... that someone called Mankind.

May be we have to pass throw a seed grain life process like Mafalda Veiga sings "But it is needed to dye and born again, to seed in the dust and collect once again".

May be this will explode someday... That's also because of that, the meaning, the reason of my and your life. We can't change the world and may be the changes that we can add in this society will have to dye. But we can't stop to do it around us; so that, when the world reborn, it could grow with the strength of the good seed, rooted deeply underground the mankind values.

I am prepared to sacrifice my life; I am able to suffer the consequences of this fired world consummation. I wish that all of you, my friends, could pass throw a popcorn transformation, from an insipid state to another sweet, from a little orange ball to a white plushed flowered form...And when we open the eyes again I want see myself and all of you around me turned into that reborned man that recognizes and let the other to recognize in my look, my smile,.. the white side of our nature.

Some men, today, are anger to make history and write their names in the future books. They don't care anything about the future. I just simply want to build the book, to make it real, to add white pages, again and again and again so that, at the end of the times, we would be able to write the happiest story ever written. A story that LIVEs beyond the times.

I want to bang down all your sadness, all your pains...
I want to bang down them over and over!
I want to BANG up your happiness and get your biggest smile, your wildest laughing moment...
I want to BANG UP again and again and again...
